Despite this, they still have one of the best teams in world rugby and are in good stead to defend their title. Many teams are going through a rebuilding phase, but Ireland’s main issue will be replacing Johnny Sexton. It will be intriguing to see how Jack Crowley fills such big shoes.

England Odds

England have won the most 6 Nations titles and were the best northern hemisphere at the Rugby World Cup, as they claimed a third-place finish.

When it comes to 6 nations betting, however, I can not see them finishing at the top of the pile.

This is because Steve Borthwick will have many new and inexperienced faces in his squad for this tournament, as a number of players have retired while others have opted to play their rugby in France in the Top 14, ruling them out of contention for England duty.

Due to all of the changes, Borthwick will probably use this competition to develop a future squad, meaning this may not be a winning year for the English.

Scotland Odds

Scotland did not make it out of the Group Stage of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, but the SRU have decided to stick with Gregor Townsend for the time being. This seems a good call as he has done a lot of top things for Scottish rugby over the last few years. In the 2023 6 Nations, they finished in 3rd place, just below Ireland and France, and this is where we think they will finish once again.

They have plenty of quality in their squad, and with the likes of England rebuilding, they should at least equal last year’s position. It will be interesting, however, to see how they cope without their talisman, Stuart Hogg, who recently retired.

Wales Odds

Wales made it to the last eight of the World Cup in France, which was much better than many expected. They will, however, have been disappointed by the fact that they rolled over for Argentina in the Quarter-Finals. There is a lot happening in Welsh rugby at the moment, and this will have a big impact on their tournament.

Like with England, this will be a reset tournament for the Welsh, so we do not expect them to challenge for the title. Due to their enforced changes, we think that fourth place in the Six Nations table is the best for which they can hope.
